    Hi ADV Ladies,

    Baldy (ADV Owner) found there is a need and want for a woman’s forum here on ADV. He interviewed a number of women and learned about women’s experiences here.

    It’s a closed forum, women only. This will free up women to talk woman talk and not worry about men reading. Not all women worry about it but some aren’t inclined to speak freely with men watching.

    If you would like to added to the group send a message to Sfcootz: http://advrider.com/index.php?members/279362/ ~ She is the mod for the forum.

    I hope the PNW ADV Ladies will support this group since Baldy created it for us. :clap

    We are lucky in the PNW we have a great group of men here and the things that have made this necessary isn’t as prevalent in our neighborhood as in others. I thank the PNW ADV Men for being the wonderful men they are. :thumb That’s not to say there aren’t a few kinkers in the pot but that’s the minority.

    Baldy’s thread is here: http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/we-have-a-womens-forum-now.1276477/ Sadly it has turned into 25+ pages of why a women’s forum is needed with men complaining and baiting the women and some of the men. Sigh.

    Cool! Way to go Baldy. But...With all of today's Gender confusion, denial and self identification. Which door are we supposed to go in?

    It seems to be a big hit so far. :thumb

    But to be clear, no men are allowed in, whether they create tension, or not.

    Oops, thanks for point that out. I really shouldn't post in a hurry before I go to work. It's fixed and I hope you join in.

    Oh AJ you are so funny. :jack About setting up a ladies ride..... I don't know, I have thought about it a few times but I don't want to fight the fight. :lobby

    There are a lot more women out there in the ADV world than people realize. When I sat up a ladies only training years back it took no time to have 16 women pay up and join the training. User names that had low post counts but gals that were dang good rider and wanted to perfect their skills. The all women thing was a blast but it created some negative posts here in the PNW. Even though the men here are great guys some of them like to stir the pot. :pot When faced with that some people (not only women) stay in the shadows.

    Perhaps joining the Women's Forum would help. If she would like to PM me and chat I would be happy to have a private conversation with her. I don't know if I would have a fix but I'd be happy to try to help.

    Thanks. I corrected that too. After re-reading I see where it needed clarifying. I've popped into the forum a couple of times and some good topics are being discussed. I think it will go a long way to get more women involved on ADV. :clap Not all women that ride motorcycles want to have to be "tough" to participate in a motorcycle forum. I know I don't. I think Baldy sees that and wants to help women have a good experience here too. I thank him and all the mods that are encouraging the women to participate.

    Thanks for passing along the info! I don't generally do more than read here, because yeah.. its a little aggressively "Tool Time" around here, and the ADV world in general is more than a little off-putting with what it chooses to define as "adventure".. I'm in a number of women-only motorcycle groups though, and they're all pretty awesome _communities_.

    So count me as one of those low-post count, great female riders who wants to participate, but doesn't often. :)

    This is fantastic idea. My best riding partner for years was female, lurked on ADV because of the ass hats. She attended an all ladies off road riding training and loved it.

    It's truly sad how my fellow men are reacting to this. I can completely understand why @Baldy has created a secure area for women. I've seen some of the mistreatment, and understand the need for security and privacy. Good move @Baldy, seriously Chris good move!

    In the Inland Northwest we have been very fortunate to have awesome men, no mistreatment-- and our threads usually involve the ONE thing that brings us together... Motorcycles & Adventure

    Quite blessed!

    ~~~~~~~~~~
    The women's forum is a boon... We can ask the awkward questions that would normally never be asked and get answers from riders dealing with same issues and what they have tried. Win! win!
    Exactly - we even have a crafts thread there and tool rolls have been mentioned. If it was created in Inmates it would have been trolled with stupid remarks. I'm hoping this thread will take on legs and I will learn how to make useful things for motorcycling. The goal is to bring more women into posting on ADV with being able to start with posting in the Woman's Forum. From there maybe they will feel comfortable posting in Ride Reports.
    Ride Reports is another place anyone can post wit confidence that trolling isn't allowed. I love Ride Reports especially Day Trippin' because I see places I want to go and many times even within my ability. If anyone makes negative remarks there or gives the thread owner a hard time they will be receive thump on the noggin with the ban hammer. :thwak
    Again, thanks to all the PNWNorthwet men that have been extremely encouraging of the women riders in our area. I already knew you guy were wonderful but discovering how many women have been chased away in other areas makes me even more grateful for you. Keep being the awesome people you are. :clap
    hey LB,,gotta say, I kinda thot it was a needless idea, but after reading some of the shit in other threads about this topic,,wow!, I see why now. fuck em,,there will always be assholes, and I include myself in that genre, but really? some guys have issues that rule their lives I guess. I love my ADV wimmen sisters!
    It is a sign of the times I guess, sorry ,,,,remember who they are and pee in their gas tanks!
    You always have a way with words. :lol3 Thank you for the support. Truthfully I wish it didn't have to be this way but for now it looks like it does. The nice thing is I get to brag about how you all you guys are. :thumb
