MotoChron and I got out for yet another ride this past weekend. PERFECT conditions on Saturday. Temps warm enough you could easily dress for it, good traction. I am taking the liberty of posting a link to one of Chris's excellent videos. At a minimum the singing of Jingle Bells and Chris rocking some Elton John makes this worth a watch!

I am happy to announce that a Detroit preview of the Mid-Atlantic BDR film, along with several other shorts, has been scheduled for Monday, March 19, at 8 p.m. at the Maple Theatre on Maple just west of Telegraph in Bloomfield Hills. Tickets, $10, will be available in advance online at https://themapletheater.com/ or at the door, and the show is co-sponsored by me, Clinton Baller, and BMW Motorcycles of Southeast Michigan. The Maple is a terrific venue with a coffee shop, bar and excellent restaurant, so show up early and stay late. Let's make it a party! See you then!

Got out for the first street ride of 2018, a little chilly but felt good to be back on the bike. Doubt the weather will last though.

I was thinking Old State Rd, but I wouldn't be surprised if you said Frederic.

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a KTM 350 exc-f. I had a Triumph Tiger for a while but it was just too big for the kind of riding that I want to do in northern Michigan. I got rid of that and I'm ready to get the kind of bike that I should have purchased instead of the Tiger. I'm looking forward to some warmer weather soon and getting back into the dirt. I live right in Kalkaska near lots of great riding!

A buddy of mine has a 350 and really likes it.

My bikes are no where near ready to ride yet. To many Honey Do projects getting in the way lately. At least I'm done with PT for my knee and it's feeling ready. I did have a bit of a set back recently when I did manage some wrenching on the 990. But it's KTM tough and no damages! [IMG]

FYI , Its easier to wrench on if it`s upright on the table :D.

Both bikes are ready . Just waiting for the weather to break. Went for trail ride in the jeep , still to much ice on the orv trails for the bike. Sure as shit I would be on my butt more than on the bike . These ole bones can`t handle that like they use too:lol2

I did think it would of made servicing stuff on the bottom of the engine easier!

Im feeling a bit less panicked about not being ready to ride now that we got about 4 or 5 inches of fresh snow. Id rather still be feeling that panicked feeling of "Im not ready!"

Henk - how's sunny Florida treating you? Your old lift sure is handy - except when operator error steps in. I was trying to lift front end only so I could burp the cooling system. It did not work as planned.

Congrats! Great bike. Now for the snow to melt so you can ride it.

    Mike,
Things are going well, bikes du jour are 99 R1100RT and my trusty DL650. We are going to spend the Summer out west. Looking forward to spending some time in my old stomping grounds
