on my way ;-) sign up for email alerts, when reg. opens move fast. I hope to see you next year !
BTW, Trials riding is a huge help with off road riding. balance, body positioning, really help. just my worthless opinion, I bet 10 years of trials is a bigger help to off road then 20 of on road riding.
10 minutes of Trials riding is a bigger help than 20 years of road.
This from a guy who's been road riding since about '61 and looked in awe at Sammy Miller & Roger Penton. What the Trials guys do today is simply unbelievable.
Thanks guys, I'm lining up some off road training over the winter here, hopefully, and should have plenty of opportunity to get some time in on a bike in the Pyrenees beforehand. Ten years of trials has still only seen me work up to the 2nd/3rd level of difficulty, I'm no Dougie Lampkin! But your points are very valid, I'm sure a lot of skills are transferrable.
As soon as they announce the dates for 2018, I'll be on the mailing list. I already follow them on FB.
it was awesome !, final breakfast sunday
Looked really good from the photos online, was it the same route as last year?
sorry for slow reply, no they take a different route every year. they warned that this year day three will be a "challenge" ;-)
mercuryrev did get in this year? reg. filled in 10 min, I'm in. I will be doing the Italian Challenge as well in late May, less dirt on that ride.
No, unfortunately not...... Too many projects on for this year, too many variables that meant we might not make it, so sadly it will have to be next year.
will do !
