Most everything on Vancouver island is expensive. Cost $65.00 to unlock my DuraForce XD from AT&T.

l bought it on e-bay right after our dollar fell another few cents, ha.. Over $200. The Ram mount will cost $51+ taxes in Canadian dollars... Cost allot cheaper than a small face gps though...

    unlocking is $12 online

the RAM mount is unacceptable in my opinion, they now ship them with rubber bands because the mount isn't reliable, so i skip the RAM mount and use the Finn bicycle mount, it's flexible and doesn't eject phones in the event of a crash.

Can't get my Duraforce XD to work with my leather gloves, even thin ones. Am I doing something wrong?

Have had my Pro for a month now. Love it! It has bounced out of a cheap mount and hung by the charging cord bouncing off the front wheel and sustained 0 damage. Its just like my VStrom. Does everything well but doesn't excel in any single area, except being tough and, so far, reliable. Must be careful with an X-grip mount as it will push buttons. Screen is super bright, speakers are loud enough to hear GPS directions without a headset if less than 45 mph, lived through a freak Feb thunderstorm. Mine is from Sprint and I got no type of case whatsoever...bummer, cheapskates!
Also works with my textile gloves!

The Perfect Squeeze looks like one of the best commercial options, I already have a homemade that I did up out of a sheet of Kydex doesn't look the greatest but I havn't lost my phone yet.

So I got all my gloves and tested it out and it worked fine but realized out of necessity on my heaviest gloves ( heated winter) I use the edge of the thumb. It wasn't intentional but simply because it allows me more pinpoint control because the thumbs were so huge they press multiple things at once when I tried fat fingering it wouldn't work. Hope that helps , below are the three gloves that all worked fine with the exception of using the thumb edge seam of the glove on the winter ones. All three are leather.

Looks pretty good to me, where did you get the silicon case from?

Well I went to go ride my DR650 and take some test footage with my GoPro Hero 3 plus silver and the Duraforce Pro using the action camera in the GoPro mount. Well I think my starter has gone leaving me with a dead bike so instead you get to watch me walking down the street which is pretty damn boring so I added some motorcycle noise and topnotch music. Take a guess on which video is the GoPro and which one is the Duraforce Pro,....the video that keeps going is the GoPro and the one that ends first the Duraforce Pro, not bad if you ask me.

Got it working now. Just wasn't pressing hard enough. Not used to a resistive screen I guess.

Well I had my neighbor come over and helped me push start the bike which fixed whatever is wrong after getting its blood pumping. So I hooked up the cameras again and took them for a ride. Man o man the Duraforce Action camera case is not meant for motorcycles. The tiny junction point is so thin that the phone in the case rattles all over the place making it a total failure. I think its a great action camera but not for riding on a motorcycle in a ram mount. Here is the side by side, easy to see which one is the GoPro. I wouldn't wast your money on the case

Yup, and it works extremely well. Been down some rough terrain and the phone never moved a mm.

How about this holder, I know a few using it on rough rides and don't know that any have had a phone jump out?
Fraction of the cost of the perfect squeeze. And actually looks to me like it would hold better. I've seen a few of these in person but haven't actually seen a perfect squeeze.

I was having the same problem with my XD.

Adjusted the sensitivity (Settings >> Language & input >> Pointer speed >> adjust to right for greater sensitivity), and it didn't seem to work UNTIL I restarted the phone.

    Much better now.

Hey Folks. Do I understand correctly that the sapphire screen is only available on Verizon phones? I am buying one, not as a phone, but to use as GPS.
