    Friends:

I have several Garmins. Since the roads I travel are not on the purchased maps I use tracks that I or someone else recorded. Then I use the magnifying glass, select the track and go. The problem is all along my track I have waypoints with names and all, yet they never show during this kind of navigation. (In this case it was a Monterra, but it's the same with a Zumo 660 and a Zumo 590LM) Maybe my thinking is wrong and I should be doing things differently? (Like converting the track to a route?) Another thing that I notice is that even though I have "track up" the track is not up as I navigate (I can tell because as I turn the road or track doesn't rotate continuously.)

    Ideas, education or advice?

    Thanks amigos

I can't help you with the problem you are experiencing, but have you tried Openstreetmaps. They are free and might be better for what you want. I used it in my trips to Bolivia and they were great. Costs nothing to try.

Are you building the tracks up in Basecamp or loading them from someone else's files?

Thank you woody, I'll have a look at it.
    Hi atomicalex:

In most cases they are tracks that I myself navigated and recorded them on my Garmin. No editing at all to them. I use only Basecamp. Later I reload the tracks and waypoints and as I re-travel the route the waypoints just don't show. If I look in the gps the waypoints are there by name in the waypoint list.
    Thanks for your help!

if there was a quick n easy way to load waypoints , that would be the thing to do.
