June will not work for me. Late September or October most likely.

I have been busy with some other commitments. I'm not ignoring everyone. I'm going to go through these and get back with people soon.

To be more specific (not saying it changes your timeline), we're leaving Smoky Mtns June 21st on the TAT, heading West. Giving myself 5 weeks to get to the West coast. At THAT time I'll head South into Baja.
Only "must be here" date will be my Stahlratte trip around Thanksgiving. Other than that. it's a loose schedule.

I'm late to your post. I've been planning my trip to TDF for the past few month. Originally a solo trip but having the right riding partner may be appealing. My departure is very similar to yours, only I would be leaving from Florida to San Diego, crossing into Baja then to Mazatlán, etc. I'm 47 years old, been riding for about 27 years on/off road. I'm fluent in Spanish (as is my 1st language). Open schedule, not looking to break the Guinness World Record for getting there the fastest. Have been following several RR's here and there are definitely a few "must see" places. Done several solo trips tru the States and Canada. I have ridden Baja several times (off road) but haven't made it to Cabo San Lucas any of the times. Id like to know about your trip, schedule, destinations (so far) to see if its something I can be a fit in and like to pursuit. BTW: riding R1200GS
