Indian Motorcycles is extending previous NHTSA Recall Number 19V-156. The recall now affects all 2019 Indian Scout motorcycles. The affected models are the 2019 Indian Scout, Indian Scout Bobber, and Indian Scout 60 motorcycles. The company had previously issued recalls for the bikes because of the possibility of trapped air in the bike’s brake lines.
Indian says that after the manufacturing process, air may remain in the brake system. The trapped air could possibly reduce brake performance and increase the risk of a crash.
Indian will notify owners and dealers will perform a brake fluid bleed of the front and rear ABS to evacuate any trapped air. The brake bleed service is free of charge.
