Perennial Isle of Man TT winner John McGuinness has won another title. This time, his newest title is that of MBE. Every year, the Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II releases a list of names that have the honor of being bestowed a British Order of Chivalry distinction.
McGuinness now finds himself the recipient of MBE or Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. The MBE does not bestow knighthood, but it does recognize the holder of the title as someone who has bestowed outstanding services to the British crown.
The MBE is the lowest of the five levels of the British Order of Chivalry but is nonetheless a great honor. John McGuinness is receiving his MBE for his services to motorcycle racing. As a multi-time winner of the Isle of Man TT, he is one of the winningest real road racers in modern time. He is also the second overall race winner at the Isle of Man TT.
An elated McGuinness tweeted that he was finally speechless for once. He thanked everyone for all their well-wishes and said that he wished he could reply to all of them.
Well I’m speechless for once! Unbelievable response from all you guys, amazing! Been reading all the messages it means so much, wish I could reply to you all. Huge thanks to everybody that has made it happen. 30 yrs of racing, now the icing on the cake an MBE pic.twitter.com/jdIXGxlRxP

That would be a difficult task because the tweet already has over 6.8K “likes” and hundreds of comments.
McGuinness’s MBE is a well-deserved award for a man who has 23 Isle of Man wins. If you’d like to know more about McGuinness, you can read his book, John McGuinness, Built For Speed. Bikes, Beers, and Balls of Steel at outlets like Amazon.
