Moto Guzzi has announced its V85 TT adventure bike is available for pre-booking in North America.

Unveiled in concept form at the 2017 EICMA motorcycle show, the V85 TT is a retro-styled adventure bike, with air-cooled transverse V-twin engine (80 hp, 59 lb-feet of torque). It’s aimed more at easier gravel roads and street riding than it is at hard dirt riding, with a 19-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel, and 208 kg dry weight. Those wheels have spoked rims, so they should be able to take a bit more punishment than a set of cast wheels, at least.

It’s not just a poser bike, though, because it’s still got decent suspension despite its classic styling, with 41 mm front forks, adjustable for preload and damping. The rear monoshock is also adjustable for preload and damping, and as it’s offset from the centre of the bike, it’s easy to access for adjustments. There’s 210 mm of ground clearance, and suspension travel is 170 mm.

The brakes are proper too, with dual 320 mm front brake discs and radially mounted Brembo calipers, with four opposed pistons, and a 260 mm rear disc with two-piston caliper and Continental ABS. A 5.5-gallon fuel tank is supposed to deliver more than 150 miles of range.

Also, Moto Guzzi included up-to-date riding electronics on the V85 TT, with ride-by-wire throttle enabling cruise control, riding modes (Rain, Road or Off-Road selections available) and a TFT dash, which can be used to control GPS or entertainment devices via Bluetooth.

Sounds good? Well, you can visit to pre-book your motorcycle now. You’ll pay $11,990 ($13,990 in Canada) for the base model, or $12,990 ($14,990 in Canada) for the Adventure version, which comes with hard luggage. Remember, pre-orders get a $250 accessories credit with Moto Guzzi. The bike is supposed to be available in the US in May, in June for Canadians.
