To try to raise the excitement quotient, Norton has released a second teaser video. Fading between glimpses of the old Norton Atlas and the new version, we get brief glimpses of what the new machine looks like.
The new Atlas’ name is based upon the original 1963 Norton Atlas that had a 750 cc engine. However, the latest version will be powered by a 650 cc parallel twin of Norton’s own design. The engine was apparently derived by splitting Norton’s existing 1200 cc V4 motor in half. Horsepower is expected to be between 70-100.
In case you missed it, Norton CEO Stuart Garner had previously tweeted the Norton’s first teaser video with the tagline “All new Norton coming soon”.

Reports say that the Atlas will be available in both road and dual sport versions. If the Norton’s previously released renderings are anything to go by, the bike will have a tubular trellis frame, upside down front forks, and brakes with radial calipers.
Pricing or availability has not yet been released.
