SW-Motech has updated its Pro luggage line, with a new set of tail bags aimed at all types of motorcycle touring.
For the rider who wants one big tailbag to haul all (or almost all) their gear, you have the Cargobag. This 50-litre design (built along familiar lines) is universal-fit, like all this series, and can be compressed down if you don’t need full capacity.
For riders looking for a more sporty option, there’s the Rearbag (expandable from 22 to 34 litres). This would look at home on the tailsection of a sportbike. SW-Motech also has the smaller Roadpack, expandable from 8 to 4 litres, which would work in a similar role, although it has much less capacity.
There’s a new accessory bag, which seems aimed at carrying gear like GoPros—capacity is very limited, at 3 to 6 litres. There’s also a new Rackpack, with capacity from 32 to 42 litres, and an 18-litre Tentbag (which is cleverly designed to accept longish tent poles).
SW-Motech also sells a baseplate that allows you to easily attach the luggage to a pillion seat instead of a backrack.
All this equipment is designed with quick-adjust attachment straps, intended to make installation and removal more painless. All the bags are made out of 1680-denier ballistic nylon, and most of them come with waterproof liners that provide further weatherproofing. They also come with exterior MOLLE attachment loops, making it easier to integrate other luggage or strap down other gear.
