We are not turning this into another gun thread are we ? the only Benelli I have heard of is a gun, but I do live in the sticks.

Seat height specs seem to have come down. The only downside is the weight - this thing is porky - my F650gs is only 425 compared to Benelli's 470 lbs.

Google translated, so don't expect much.

    Edit: price is around 2 084 000 HUF / 7500USD / 6700EUR

Apparently it's a pretty decent bike:

213kg for a 500cc dual sport is heavy.

Isn't this "new" X model basically what they were showing originally - an adventure tourer with 19/17 inch spoked wheels? I don't see any other significant differences from the "street" model.

Thought this was an interesting article to read. The X model seems like a budget friendly adventurer for someone not wanting to go spend a fortune on a 1200+ bike and take it out every once in a while, don't think I'd take this on a long trip with gear but maybe down the road to grab a latte. This seems like the beginning step for some to get into the adventure market, see if they like it, then upgrade. Interesting. I actually like the looks of it a lot, like a blending of all the top adv bikes rolled into one. Now, where's the nearest shop that could service a Benelli?? :D

In the age of use n throwaway the chinese fit right in, but the Japanese come by their manufacturing thru the Deming process and years of statistical analysis, not by copying existing designs and manufacturing without established, documented quality controls.

Not sure to what capacity they stock parts or provide service, but WOW Motorcycles in Marietta is listed on the Benelli website as a dealer..
