So this thread is 25 pages and I’m sure the questions is probably answered but. I have a 2023 300L with 20 miles on it. First thing i did was order the tractive level 1 for front and rear. ( I’m pretty short at 5’7” and didn’t want to raise the seat height with the level 2). Is there a video link for installing both the front and rear. I just replaced the front and rear on my GS 850 with tractive also and it was very simple but the front on the CRF is a lot more complicated lot more seals and shims so any link would be appreciated

Go back to the Rally Raid official website, select the product, then go to Support and Fitting tab. Also, search YouTube for other videos but the vids on RR site are best.

thanks I actually just watched it obviously you did your installation yourself also I noticed when they were doing the second floor leg they drilled through to get a retainer out with a drill jig. Is this a necessary step? Is there a different way did it come with the drill jig I haven’t looked through everything yet. I sent them an email about it too but obviously you probably know the answer Thanks

You don't need to drill. Wedge the compressed leg somewhere (I used the floor and a window sill) and it is a 2 minute job with a screwdriver.

    Just logged in-
In conjunction with the install instructions I found Neil the Wheel's shock install video and the video shot in a hanger that Jenny (Jmo n piglet) is in the most helpful ones. The RR video had some steps not in the written instructions that had me second guessing myself a bit.
The shock is pretty straight forward the forks are like following a recipe.

to get the clip out I was wearing a headlamp then used the supplied tool to press the washer down a bit then used two picks - one to get behind the clip and the other to work it up. Came out 1st try also used a 60cc irrigation syringe I pick up at tractor supply to "inject" the fork oil into the bottom of the left fork working the pump a bit as I went.
Lay out all your parts in order of your steps, have your tools on hand, put on some music and have fun. I enjoyed the process.
p.s. if you have a bit of oil on the castings after you install the forks on your bike-dont freak out like I did lol

I believe the company is motion pro they make a syringe for pulling fluid out of forks. It has a metal bracket on it that tightens down to the exact exact amount that you want from the top of the fork and it pretty much gets it spot on think it’s like 20 bucks well worth it

Just make sure you pump the forks well to get all the air out
