Nice set up PHXadventure, ordered one myself today. Where did you run power to the cradle from?

    Thanks

I tapped in to ACC 2 which is labeled. This is behind the head lamp assembly. You will have to loosen the fairings on the top side and remove the windscreen. just gently let the head lamp hang down. ACC 1 is always hot and also powers the acc plug on the dash right upper side. You don't want this one as it will drain your batt after a long sit. ACC 2 only comes on with the key in the ON position and boots up the Zumo 660 LM. Keep in mind the Zumo 660 LM has a message that pops up when power is turned off with the key and it gives you the option to let it run on it's battery power so you don't have to boot it back up while stopping somewhere so running on ACC 1 makes no sense as the GPS has it own battery for backup.

The Mount is the KTM Hard parts mount for 950/990, if you have the newer style dash they require the later mount. Next I'm getting the Touratech Locking mount for this setup

Man, seeing that road with concrete walls on both sides, not much shoulder and a big rig coming down the road, I'd have that bike right up against the wall and I'd be on the other side of the wall!

Just far enough away from the wall so that i can fill from that side instead of back towards traffic. ;)

I did, but not there I had a couple the night before, we rolled through earlier than they were open and were trying to beat some rain so just stopped for the picture.

    new air filter, clean pre-filter

put it back on the road
maybe water pump only 20k and the filter looks good.
add ADV tank so I don't run out of gas on a hi-way with big rigs

Just a quick FYI. You can lean the bike over to the the left (fuel pump side) and get some additional fuel out of the right tank. I have gone a couple of extra miles using this trick.

It's brighter than the OEM candle. I would like a shitload more light. Rade conversion coming soon.

    For the price, its ok.

We just moved and the area we now live has much rougher terrain. Within a week I've managed to do this to my BDCW light bracket...

    and this to my ADVtank...

Light bracket fix? Ordered a stainless steel version of the BDCW light bracket from gefr (thanks gefr!).

ADVtank fix? From the pic above you can see the JBweld I tried did NOT work, at all. I contacted Steve from ADVtank.com and he immediately sent one in the mail at a hugely reduced cost. He was very helpful. Of note, he stated the ADVtanks now come with a much heavier duty/thicker lower bracket to prevent movement/damage to the tank. He didn't have any in stock for the Adventure at the moment.

So...to prevent this from happening again, as many folks have (aka: BillyD), I built a tank-to-passenger peg bracket to help stabilize the lower portion of the tank. Here it is all mocked up. I sure hope it holds up.

Hilariously, it wasn't bad. And then it very much was. Bars just kind of stopped turning. I needed to make a left into Target. The bike decided I should just keep on keeping on. Into a median.

    Zany. So zany.
