    glad to hear this. I, too, purchased barkbusters and the SW Motech crash bars and skid plate. Don't have a bike to put them on yet though.

    not installed yet. they came a couple of days ago and I had no time so far. I think it is a good product but I am really annoyed by the lack of support holan provides to its customers :-(

    * SW Motech skid / bash plate
    * Touratech foot pegs
    * Touratech side stand foot thing
    * Barkbuster Storms

    Looks good. I didn't even look at the Givi stuff, just didn't think about it. I went with Hepco Becker engine and body gaurds.

    Spent 4 hours in the "Farkle Barn" putting on quite a few needed and protective items.

    Here is a pic of the stock skid plate vs. SW Motech. Amazing difference. There is a lot of silver up front so I will be doing a custom satin black paint on just the wings of the plate to blend in more.

    Also added Touratech foot pegs and they are 1000% better than stock. A must for any off-road riding. 3 minute install. Well made and no hassle moving parts to replace or worry about. I did adjust the shift lever which took 2 min with the convenient shifter rod, unlock the lock nuts and adjust, relock and done.

    Installed the Touratech side stand extender. I shopped around and dollar for dollar for the quality, this extender is the best deal and I paid Touratech full price.....uhhhggggg!

    Continued:

    Removed the passenger pegs as they kept hitting my legs when moving around on the bike and would do some nasty leg damage if your foot fell of the back of the peg off-road. Painted the bolts and inserted them back in for a great place took hook straps.

    Installed the Aussie 12mm fender riser and offers a lot more room for knobbies. I have the Shinko 804/805 Big Block and they have plenty of room now especially at the rear of the fender.

    Added RG rubber grip and tank protector. The bike is so skinny that you want to ride it like a dirt bike up on the tank which would result in lots of scratches in the tank paint once your pants are dirty. These should fix that and they are grippy.

    Holman Pro crash bars and Holan Nomad II Pro panniers are on their way next week.

    Today the rear passenger peg saved my Remus muffler from getting crunched when I dropped the bike.

    This is how good Holan Pros seem to be. :uhoh

    Well with metal frames and panniers coming they will protect the bike on a fall over. The darn brackets just kept touching the back of my leg and I could see a calf muscle getting ripped off-road with them on. Not to say the panniers will be any better at off-road safety, but at least they are another 3" - 4" further back.

    After riding one day with the SW-Motech silver skid plate on I popped it off and gave it a custom satin black paint job on the wings of the plate so it blends better with the bike. I left the center silver where most of the rocks will be kicked up.

    Will the paint job last? No, but I have more paint when doing oil changes and it sure makes the engine area look much better.

    My template was basically follow the welds and tape off. Made sure to cover emblems and interior of plate.

    Came out good.

    I want to protect my DCT bike but no manufacturers will let me yet. I guess the extra $13 a month for comprehensive insurance will do :hmmmmm

    Does it need to come off for oil changes? How easy does it bolt on?

    Interesting, it's quite similar to SWM's.
