Yup, that was my first ride with it on my 450. Have had it on the 300 for a couple months. It’s the pro model, one lever for both clutch and brake. Starts as clutch, progresses to brake. A side pull is all clutch. Amazing piece of equipment

There is a moto trail in Idaho with a downed bomber. Crew survived. A pretty good story I recall.

You can hike about 4 miles up the Tubal Cain/Tull Canyon trails in the Dungeness drainage on the Olympic Peninsula and find a B 17 Flying Fortress. Most of this crew also survived a winter crash and hiked out in the snow. Much of the airframe is still there, a couple engines, wheels..the Silver Creek shelter at the trailhead is a great place to camp. A few legal but difficult moto trails in the area.

Any suggestions on ordering an Airoh visor. My trials helmet visor is for looks only, does nothing to block the sun. I'm figuring the 3 bolt pattern for my trials is the exact same as the mx helmet....

Hotcams has a shit reputation for their XR650L cams... I’d rather go a different route.

Many dealers will trade shims with you for free. Clever types will use a diamond stone and modify their own shims. You're definitely clever

My 450 these last couple rides has a few instances of me kicking on the throttle, answer with a dead spot then backfire. Very wet and 45 degrees. What could that be?

Also, how often should the spark arrestor be cleaned out/serviced. 4 stroke and 2.

I may hit Walker on Sat. It drains like no other place around. Weather wise, more of the same...

I’d guess that running the 450 with the open Akro exhaust along with the BDSB big bottom kit is causing a slight pop on decel. I heard a couple times when we rode Tuesday. I’m going to modify that SA insert for you and see if it fixes it. If not might play with the TPS slightly. Should repack your two stroke once a year as much as you ride.

My 501 exhaust gets noticably louder after 2500 miles/ once a year so that is also my service interval. Super easy to do and the packing is cheap.
