Sorry to say that the WYBDR is not happening this year, the North East NEBDR is instead.

The team did not have all the pieces in places for this year and thus they ride the WYBDR next year. Thus the WYBDR will go live for 2021

Since it was Eakins that said this would happen in 2021 you can probably take that to the bank, he's in a position to know.

The BDR group will officially scout ride & film it this next year...when it's all open.

Many roads have been pre-ridden to create a rough draft. More will be finalized next riding season.

Then next winter the free .gpx will be released as will a map and movie premieres. This happens for everyone just after the new year - Jan/Feb of 2021.

Then when the route is clear it's good to go by everyone :clap

Plan on riding this summer/fall of 2021.
WY is epic riding and thus will be an epic BDR!

    Sandhills are good.

Many roads ended in Gates, not so good.

Status unknown at this point but WY is very socially distanced.

Since we will all be trying to socially distance, how about a bunch of us pick our own routes through Wyoming this coming season and offer suggestions to @ Eakins for their upcoming BDR. I would second Norm’s suggestion to route through Adobe Town area then up to South Pass City. After that it might be a tough choice between following the CDR over Union Pass or routing up Grey’s River Road. Union Pass would be the more direct route to one of my favorite little Wyoming towns, Dubois, then maybe east to the Reservation and over Blondie Pass and into Thermopolis. After that I’m not sure, maybe to Meteetse and Cody to Red Lodge Mt but that would skip the Big Horns, which would be a shame.
I would love to hear all of the more experienced inmate’s suggestions.
    Y’all stay safe,
    Ed.

I'd say continue on from where the COBDR ends and thus Baggs/ Dixxon start.

BDR designers like dirt continuations of routes if possible so a close COBDR > WYBDR.

I would head north on 503/McCarty Cyn Rd from Dixon as that is a beautiful dirt road along the stream.

Then head north via dirt to Atlantic City.

Then up and over to Lander and dirt county roads to the Big Horns.

Then up and north thru the Big Horns.
