Garage queen KDX? I doubt you'll get sufficient extra $$$ to compensate for going from a bike with known history to a lottery. I remember KTM Gresham trying forever to sell a Jackpiner KTM 200. Not sure there is much of a collector market for dirt bikes.
Excellent advice amigo !! i do want to ride it, i really really do. i guess for now, since i am staring at snow for the next few months, is to just tuck it away and dream happy thoughts til spring. Let the desire fester Its nice to know that people still carry a lot of love for these bikes. i may take you up on borrowing that pipe when the ground thaws out, thanks for the offer
Im not looking to get rich off this bike, i know its not that special. What it is, is pretty darn close to showroom clean for an almost 22yr old bike. Makes it a weird anomaly if it were my only dirtbike, then i may have different thoughts. Like i mentioned, real world problems
Nice welder. Wish I had that much space, I guess there is a consolation for freezing your nuts off half the year
I have swing arms. But what happened to yours that it needs replacement? Also have a 220 cylinder that would need welding or sleeve
Just depends on how much $$ you want to throw at it. Throw enough $$ at something and it will get fixed.
I need to take mine a part and see how bad it is. Partszilla still has most of the parts available for the motor! Cylinder- Engine $546.19
I have a 2001 KDX 220, anyone know what a compression test should read? The service manual says 95-151 psi. That is really a wide range. Someone have a good idea what their KDX is running? It is stock as far as I know, I'm not the original owner!
can't find a bracket in there, new crank and seals and powervalve gov. just dropped another 500 on this 1995. have to ride it for ten years to get my worth out of it.
Just picked up a super clean one-owner '01. It doesn't look like it needs much other maybe some suspension work. I can't wait to get this thing out in the woods.
